  • James Boatwright

    General Manager

Hi everyone! So for those of you who don’t know me, my name is James Boatwright and I’m so excited and grateful for the opportunity to take on this new role at Cape Fear Fitness a place I called home for 4 years! I started at CFF in November of 2019 as a front desk associate and shortly after became a certified personal trainer and was a trainer at CFF until December of 2023. I began this journey with a desire to work in the sports industry as I was freshly out of the Air Force in 2018. I graduated from UNCW's exercise science program in 2022, and recently graduated from West Virginia University with a masters in sports management. Somehow in those 6 years I was able to impress a beautiful woman enough to marry me, and we’ve been married for 2 years now! We live in Wilmington where we can be found lounging by the pool or binging a TV series!
